Wrap Text Code?

Over the years I recall numerous examples of code that given text, or a

blob, would insert carriage returns so that when output each line would

be no longer than a specified number of characters. This code doesn't

split on words and honors existing carriage returns.  This is similar

but different to what Text2Array and like plugins do but operates on
the

raw text and doesn't factor in things like output pixel width or font

metrics.

I'm working on some really old code that has such a method, but the
code

is convoluted and buggy in certain cases. I'd like to compare it to

other examples to see if I can pop in a replacement or identify a fix.

In searching the archives I can't find any examples. I thought
something

had posted something to 4DToday, but I'm not finding anything there

either. If anyone can point me to the proper thread or provide links to

code examples I'd appreciate it.

Thanks,

Brad Perkins
