Conversion problem with text fields

I'm reposting this just to see if anybody can help that might not have
seen this post.

Hi

After database conversion from 4D 2003/2004 to V11, I experience the
problem with all text / string variable and field controls in the
forms. The message "That value is not allowed" appears when leaving
the control, whatever value is entered there (including blank!), and
that in spite of the Required List property set to <None>.. The
problem only occurs for converted controls - after recreating the
control it is fine. (Problem is there are over a hundred and fifty of
these fields in my structure)

Anyone experienced this problem and has a solution other than
recreating the controls?
