In v11, I have a single menu bar assigned to all forms in the database
(Menu Bar 1) and it's active.
On OS X, when I select a menu item with the mouse, it gets executed,
but the menu title stays highlighted. The method assigned to each menu
item starts a new process using "New Process" command. The first thing
I do in the new process is SET MENU BAR(1;Current Process).
I've tried calling SET MENU BAR(1) in the process that the menu item
is selected, but it's not helping.
Any ideas on how to force the menu title to de-highlight?
it's a bug - we have the same issue under little bit different
conditions.
cheers,
Matthias

Are you calling the New Process command from within the method
called by the menu item?
Yes.
If so you may want to try selecting the new process option on the
Menu set up pane.
It may be that the menu remains highlighted until the method called
is completed.
If this method sets up a new process that runs concurrently, the
menu may think it is still in use.
Just a thought...
I just ran a test and, sure enough, simply checking the property for
the menu item does indeed solve it.
A bit of a kludge or workaround, IMO, but much better than the
highlighted menu item sticking around.
I don't know why there should be a difference like this, but I'll take
what I can get.
Thanks, Steve.
