I want to put a picture in the 4D 2004 picture library that has

transparent

background.

I have a screenshot of the item that I want but I don't now how to

get rid

of the background.

What's the technique to do this in a graphics package such as

Photoshop?

Any help would be appreciated.

up to V2004 there is no transparency for pictures. If you check the

transparent-checkbox, 4D does not draw white. Which simulates

transparency.

by the way: don't make it transparent and then paste the picture into

the library. This way you've exchanged white by the current

background. Put the picture in the ibrary as it is. Later while

referencing the library-pict check the transparent-checkbox.

And that doesn't work with hierarchical lists.

V11 solves this by true PNGs.
