Are there issues with adding multiple indexes to a table?

Hi All,

(4D server/client 2004.7) I have a large table (215 fields) with 30k+

records. My client would like to search across about forty of these

fields. I am thinking of indexing all 40. Are there any issues
with

adding lots of indexes to a single table? Will it bloat the data file

or will it slow the loading of records, etc.?

Also, if you do a contains search on an indexed filed does this negate

the value of the index or does indexing speed up contains searches as

well?
